Serhan Uslubas was born in Istanbul, Turkey in 1983. He joined IVPL at Northwestern University in 2006 after receiving his B.S. degree from Bogazici University with high honors. He is currently working on the development of new video encoding systems and extension of the current video compression standard H.264. His research interests are video encoding, communication systems, compression algorithms and image processing.
