Martin Luessi

Martin joined IVPL in 2006 after receiving his FH diploma from Hochschule für Technik Rapperswil (HSR), Switzerland. His undergraduate thesis was titled "Efficient Multilevel Image Thresholding" and received the UBS innovation award 2006. He received his M.S. degree from Northwestern University in December 2007; his masters thesis is titled "Motion Compensated Frame Rate Upconversion" and was authored under the supervision of Prof. Aggelos K. Katsaggelos.

Martin is currently working towards his Ph.D. degree. His research interests include video compression, motion estimation, and pattern recognition.
