Biomedical Signal and Image Processing
In the IVPL a large aspect of our work is in exploring the interface between signal processing and life sciences. The lab has been a leader in DNA-Based Digital Signal Processing where DNA molecules and chemistry are used to perform signal processing. This work has also direct applications in biotechnology and computational biology and bioinformatics.
We have also been working on Atomic Force Microscopy Imaging, DNA Microarray denoising, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and other medical imaging modalities.
